What is Caffeine?
Caffeine is a substance found in over 60 plants including coffee beans, tea leaves, cacao pods, etc. Caffeine acts as a stimulant that increases heart rate, body temperature, blood flow, and other bodily functions for a temporary amount of time. Caffeine can be in coffee, tea, energy drinks, soda, and more ("Caffeine", n.d.).
